one day it is summer. and then slowly, almost without noticing,
the air is different. the light is different. and somehow, it is already fall.

amidst change, grounding oneself feels like refuge.

autumn is my favorite time here in new mexico. a season drenched in light and melancholy.

playing with red watercolor wash. again, this red is so attractive, but it feels at odds with the overwhelming, and at times false, sense of peace and tranquility in the landscape right now.

rain in the desert is the most magical thing. unmatched beauty.

signed and mailed art with care. i'm showing my work for the first time ever in a group show in marfa, texas, next month.

i'm excited for the road trip. the landscapes and future observations.

“think of the life you have lived until now as over and, as a dead man, see what’s left as a bonus and live it according to nature. love the hand that fate deals you and play it as your own, for what could be more fitting?”
